About the opportunity
This newly created role is a unique opportunity to lead and enhance Councils strategic service planning and continuous improvement initiatives for a two-year period. You will play a pivotal role in driving evidence-based decision-making and fostering a culture of performance and innovation.
You will make an impact by
- Leading and coordinating the delivery of Councils service review program in alignment with strategic priorities.
- Conducting comprehensive end-to-end service reviews including project scoping stakeholder engagement and quality assurance.
- Preparing high-quality reports presentations and business cases for senior leadership and Council.
- Partnering with Corporate Services business units to align service reviews with broader corporate planning processes.
- Driving continuous improvement and sector-alignment of Councils service review methodology.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated expertise in service planning strategic analysis project management or business improvement within a complex organisational or public sector environment ideally in local government.
- Proven ability to lead and deliver high-impact projects involving multifaceted stakeholder groups with a strong grasp of project management and financial acumen.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging influencing and building partnerships with stakeholders at all levelsacross internal business units Executive Sponsors governance bodies and external consultants.
- Ability to prepare and present high-quality reports and business cases.
- Expertise in service review methodology and delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to fostering a culture of performance innovation and strategic alignment.
