Step into a pivotal role where your expertise in security risk management will shape the future of digital governance. As a Senior Security Risk Analyst within the Corporate Services division of the Digital Information Office you will lead the charge in identifying assessing and mitigating information security risks across the organisation. Your work will ensure the secure use processing transmission and storage of critical data while driving compliance with established frameworks and policies. This is your opportunity to influence strategic decisions and contribute to the development of robust security metrics and reporting that support a resilient digital environment.
In this dynamic and high-impact role youll work closely with business and technology leaders system owners and security teams to monitor and manage risks contribute to audits and support the security attestations and certifications. Youll be instrumental in developing actionable risk treatment plans preparing governance reports and presenting insights to senior stakeholders. Your ability to navigate complex challenges prioritise competing demands and maintain up-to-date knowledge of security frameworks will be key to your success.

What you will bring to the role:
- A proactive mindset and resilience to tackle complex risk and compliance challenges in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
- Strong decision-making capabilities with full accountability for delivering high-quality outcomes and reports with minimal supervision.
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders and present clear actionable insights.

- Adept use of technology to enhance collaboration ensure compliance and maximise business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage substantial risk audit and quality assurance activities across diverse domains and supply chains.
- A commitment to continuous learning self-reflection and maintaining high personal motivation and ethical standards.
Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of the NSW Government compliance requirements and other security frameworks and standards such as Australian Signal Directorate (ASD) the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Knowledge of information security risk management and IT controls frameworks and methodologies (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001 ISO 31000 NIST COBIT).
- Experience with analysing multiple source data to improve controls.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau PowerBI).
Essential requirements
Tertiary qualifications in computer science information and technology or related technical field and/or relevant experience including risk management and compliance.
