Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and entrepreneurial Analyst Team Lead to launch and build the analytics function at Mize. This is a foundational role: in the beginning you will operate as an individual contributor partnering closely with cross-functional teams to generate insights support strategic projects and shape how Mize uses data.
Over time you will lead the growth of a team of analysts establish standards and practices and build a scalable analytics capability that serves the entire company.
Key Responsibilities
Initial Phase Individual Contributor
- Partner with stakeholders across departments (Product Data Operations Finance Sales etc. to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Build and maintain reports ad-hoc analyses and dashboards to support business performance tracking and strategic decision-making.
- Translate complex data into clear visualizations and narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Own and evolve our internal data tools including SQL queries BI dashboards and metric definitions.
- Work with data engineering (or own data pipeline logic where applicable) to ensure clean accurate and accessible data.
- Create a data-centric culture by sharing best practices and building internal knowledge.
Growth Phase Team Lead
- Define and implement a scalable analytics roadmap including KPIs data models and governance.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding of new analysts.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts as the team scales introducing frameworks for prioritization quality control and communication.
- Serve as a thought partner to leadership on high-impact strategic initiatives.
- Align analytics outputs with business goals and measure impact of initiatives.
Requirements :
- 4 6 years of experience in data analytics business intelligence or data-driven strategy roles.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and comfort with BI tools (e.g. Looker Tableau Power BI) data bricks advantage.
- Experience creating dashboards reports and analyses that drive decision-making.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to independently identify areas where data can add value.
- Excellent communication skills; able to translate data into compelling insights for stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive curious and resourceful comfortable building from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership potential and interest in growing into a team management role.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the travel tech or e-commerce industry.
- Exposure to Python R or data modeling tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with data infrastructure and data warehousing concepts.
