Job Description

Overview:


M-F mostly 8am - 4:30pm; 99% Main Campus; very minimal potential to work at Dublin or Lewis Center CTH


Job Description Summary:


Rotates support alongside Sonographers; Exercise Physiologists and Technicians; Monitor Specialists; and Cardiology Technicians for daily clinical and clerical processes. Requires an extensive understanding of the products and services performed by the department with a focus on high-impact activities.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Schedules multidisciplinary testing procedures; monitor patient/staff flow and operation within assigned area.
  • Assists in coordinating diagnostic tests.
  • Performs basic cardiac testing procedures according to test requests such as EKG and application of heart monitoring devices; and provide quality reports to ordering providers.
  • Facilitates diagnostic outside interpretations.
  • Provides timely and efficient billing and auditing processes.
  • Facilitates electronic transfer of echocardiographic images to and from outside institutions.
  • Provides clerical tasks associated with advanced and routine diagnostic testing procedures including interpretation facilitation distribution verbal and written correspondence documentation and records management.

Education Requirement:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Post-Secondary school within a healthcare
    related field preferred.

Certifications:

CPR certification required.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence skills.
  • Strong written verbal and interpersonal skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages (pediatric to adult).
  • Ability to function with flexibility and adaptability to an ever changing and fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of equipment used with the specialty of Cardiology.

Experience:

1 year of healthcare related experience preferred.
