We are seeking a dedicated Office Specialist (Office Specialist 2) to join our dedicated Oregon Eligibility Partnership (OEP) team in Oregon City.

Summary of Duties
Oregon Eligibility Partnership provides direction and support to state staff working to determine eligibility for people applying for and receiving medical food cash and childcare benefits. It also manages the ONE Eligibility system used to process applications and deliver benefits to eligible individuals and families in Oregon. OEP operates based on the principles of service equity customer service consistency and operational efficiency. OEP administers the ONE Eligibility system in partnership with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and the Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC).
As an Office Specialist you will:
Administrative and Clerical Support: Establishes and maintains program-related administrative support standards procedures and workflow.
Reception: Cover Front Desk/Phones greet customers in person and on the telephone in a courteous and pleasant manner.
Serves as the main point of contact for staff/visitors/vendors entering the building/floor.
Maintains confidential documentation for meetings personnel day-to-day business policy analyst director support etc.
Answers general questions about Oregon Eligibility Partnership ONE eligibility status or ODHS.
Record Processing/Technical: Performs specialized record processing activities requiring independent judgment to make decision or select a course of action based on laws rules policies and procedures within a program or operation.
Review customer service survey for feedback and compiles information for leadership.
Reviews information from meetings and collects action items.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding word processing or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
Experience in a reception setting delivering exceptional customer service.
Experience adjusting communication style to the receiving audience and building rapport with a variety of people.
Proven experience maintaining organization and swiftly adapting to shifting priorities and new responsibilities utilizing knowledge of the program and team to make informed decisions.
Knowledge or experience with crisis intervention or conflict resolution techniques.
Experience working independently and cohesively with a team.

Working Conditions
Work Locations: In-office position in Oregon City.
Work Environment: Direct public interaction including engagement with customers in high-pressure situations.
Cubicle-based and front desk workspace with frequent interruptions and high noise levels.
Fast-paced setting with constantly evolving policies and procedures.
Repetitive motions prolonged sitting and daily use of computers and technology.
High-volume computer work and keyboarding in a dynamic team environment.
Hours: Regular work week 8 hrs/day M-F; occasional overtime may be needed including evenings and weekends. Scheduling specifics will be determined by the hiring supervisor.
Travel: Occasional travel for meetings trainings and other case related activities. This includes required occasional overnight travel.
You may interact with individuals who have experienced trauma and may have difficulty managing their emotions.
Be prepared for stressful situations that require quick decision-making to ensure safety for yourself and others.

The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship. A valid drivers license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
