JOB TITLE: Instructional Coach WAGE/HOUR: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Campus Principal DATE REVISED: September 2024
DEPT./CAMPUS: Assigned Campus
Primary Purpose:
Use a variety of instructional practices to collaborate with teachers identify practices that will effectively address teacher and student needs and help teachers implement those practices in order to close achievement gaps and accelerate learning for all students. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Degree from an accredited university in educational administrations content area or curriculum and instruction preferred.
Masters Degree preferred
Valid Texas teaching certification with required endorsements for subject/level assigned
ESL Certification required within 6 months of employment
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of subject matter and related TEKS
Thorough knowledge and understanding of curriculum design instructional methods and implementation
Maintain high expectations for students and teachers
Capacity to model best instructional practices effectively in classrooms with students
Capacity to conduct instructional program evaluations and redesign where needed
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Capacity to interpret and utilize performance data
Ability to collaborate with campus and district staff
Ability to design and effectively facilitate professional development for teachers who are instructing students considered at-risk and/or educationally disadvantaged
Experience:
Three years of teaching experience in subject area assigned.

Ability to communicate effectively interpret data participate in district functions and maintain emotional control under stress.
Physical Demands:
Occasional prolonged or irregular hours ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
School district employees may be required to work from home and use their personal electronic devices.
