About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the mortgage processing department ensuring accuracy efficiency and compliance with regulatory and investor guidelines.
- Manage train and mentor a team of mortgage processors to achieve high performance and maintain service-level standards.
- Monitor loan pipelines to ensure files progress smoothly and all required documentation is gathered in a timely manner.
- Resolve escalated issues work collaboratively with loan officers underwriters and closing teams to keep files on track.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance the borrower experience.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of loan products processing procedures and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and analyze departmental performance metrics identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in mortgage processing with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
- Deep knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines (Conventional FHA and Non-QM preferred).
- Proven leadership ability with experience coaching and developing team members.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and other departments.
- Proficiency with mortgage loan origination systems (LOS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
