Application Production Support EngineerAbout your role:
You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary Production Support team to ensure the smooth operation of critical enterprise application platforms. You will be responsible for deploying monitoring troubleshooting automating and maintaining these platforms to guarantee their reliability and performance. Your role contributes significantly to Fiservs mission of delivering seamless financial services aligned with the way people live and work today.
What youll do:
- Deploy monitor and maintain critical enterprise application platforms in production.
- Troubleshoot and identify root causes to recommend long-term solutions.
- Participate in change deployments for application enhancements and fix reported issues.
- Support and resolve incidents and problems within the team applying effective problem-solving techniques.
- Recommend strategies for process and monitoring improvements.
- Perform deep dive application reviews and provide feedback to enhance application code quality.
- Conduct data processing and troubleshooting activities in collaboration with L2 support.
- Understand and apply end-to-end application support processes and escalation procedures.
Experience youll need to have:
- 4 years of experience in application production support in a 24x7 uptime environment.
- 4 years of experience using automation in Unix and Windows environments.
- 4 years of experience with operating systems such as RedHat Linux AIX Solaris SUSE Linux and Windows.
- 4 years of experience with schedulers like UNIX crontab control-M Autosys and Windows task scheduler.
- 4 years of experience with databases such as SQL MySQL Oracle MongoDB and MariaDB.
- ITIL certification and/or equivalent military experience.
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
Experience that would be great to have:
- 4 years of experience with log parsing technologies like Splunk.
- 4 years of experience with tools like Dynatrace.
- Knowledge of Apache Tomcat FTP SFTP SAMBA NFS BootFS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as shell Perl PowerShell and Python.
- Basic knowledge of PCF and Kubernetes.
