APRN:
Masters Degree in Nursing Plus Three (3) years of nursing experience
Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN License
Acute Care Certification
PA:
Physician Assistant Studies Plus Three (3) years of experience
PA Licensure
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Obtains a relevant health and medical history performs a comprehensive physician examination identifies health risks and needs updates and records changes in health status and assesses mental and functional status
Implements treatment plans orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic tests prescribes medical treatments and medications and manages health issues in collaboration with designated physician(s)
Provides an acceptable plan of care that maximizes the patients health potential and takes into account ordering of appropriate diagnostic tests identifying and prescribing appropriate pharmacologic agents when needed and identifying and planning non-pharmacologic interventions when appropriate
Promotes optimal health of the patient by including preventive and health promotion activities into the plan of care and participating in clinical pathway development and quality management activities
Participates as a team member in patient care conferences with other health disciplines clinical case conferences and other department/campus meetings
Consults with physicians and other health professionals when needed. Follows up on the client by phone calls rounds scheduled visits and lab results
Performs other duties as assigned
