Compensation:$26.04 - $34.52 hourly.Final job offer is based on several factors (internal equity skills education experience and credentials).
Additional compensation: 10% premium pay. $2 shift differential when working Saturdays
This position is anticipated to be a three-year contract.

We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others.
The Mobile Outreach BSW will help to engage individuals who are experiencing homelessness mental illness and/or substance use disorders using Motivational Interviewing while working alongside other professionals as part of the Grand Rapids Homeless Outreach Team (HOT). They will also provide crisis intervention and assessments to help link consumers to needed services and supports.Other tasks may include linking consumers to housing resources employment opportunities food medical services and other basic needs.
The Mobile Outreach BSW will be a part of the Grand Rapids Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) a team focused on the holistic needs of the citys homeless population. The team responds together to assist with community needs focusing on engagement and jail diversion. The team consists of firefighters and clinical specialists. HOT is a problem-solving team that helps to engage educate and link homeless individuals to community resources.
This position is full-time 40 hours a week working four 10-hour shifts from 6:00am to 4:00pm including every other Saturday. There are no on-call or holiday requirements for this position. This assignment is in person at the HOT Office 410 Barnett St NE Grand Rapids MI 49503
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Social Work. Licensed in the State of Michigan as a licensed or limited licensed bachelors social worker OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within three (3) months of hire.
Possession of a valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological emotional and sociological assessment and diagnosis.
Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
Computer skills including word processing spreadsheets email database management and data entry skills.
Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and concisely in stressful situations.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
Full licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed bachelors social worker.
One year of experience in community-based crisis intervention.
Three years of post-undergraduate experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
