Short Description
The Lead Collection Specialist will be primarily responsible for the monitoring of the overall effectiveness of the Customer Service process. Receive and resolve patient phone calls on a daily basis. Also participates in third party collections may assist in self-pay collections payment posting and adjustments. Cross trained according to job skills among other related billing functions and performs duties as necessary.
Experience Required
- 2 3 years in Customer Service experience and accounts receivable experience required.
- Experience should be well rounded with an understanding of all functions of billing processes including but not limited to basic coding knowledge medical terminology reimbursement analysis experience with appeals process credit balances billing regulations etc.
- Ability to perform addition subtraction multiplication and division accurately to the second decimal point up to hundreds of thousands of dollars is required.
Education Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Special Requirements
Must be fully proficient in Microsoft Office/PC functionality.
Ability to communicate effectively and to work as a team player is required.
