DoD Clearance: SecretWe have an immediate career growth opportunity with our DT - Information Workplace Services team for a talented Linux Systems Administrator / Analyst. You will collaborate with a team of DT professionals to support fast-paced critical programs with classified information system capabilities; develop implement and maintain secure cost-efficient 24x7 environments across various classified programs; define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
** This position is onsite in Cedar Rapids; IA and a relocation package is available if needed. **
What YOU will do:
Install configure and maintain Windows Red Hat Linux and Ubuntu servers.
Perform regular system updates patches and security configurations.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
Manage user accounts permissions and access controls.
Manage software packages using YUM and RPM package management.
Implement and manage system security policies and SELinux.
Configure and troubleshoot network settings and services.
Perform system monitoring and logging using tools like Rsyslog.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and internal teams.
Respond to and resolve system-related incidents and service requests.
Implement and maintain security best practices for system administration.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments IAW NIST 800-53.
Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Generate regular reports on system performance security and compliance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
DoD SECRET security clearance.
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Extensive experience with applying DoD STIGs to RHEL Ubuntu and Windows servers and workstations.
Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in Windows Red Hat Linux and Ubuntu.
Strong knowledge of network protocols firewall management and network security.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware KVM).
Familiarity with configuration management tools.
Experience with Poolside software.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
