Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Research Coordinator for the Rutgers Center for Advanced Biotechnology & Medicine in the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences ( RBHS ). The primary purpose of the Assistant Research Coordinator is to play an important role in supporting the successful execution of the NJKS initiative. The Assistant Research Coordinator will perform tasks related to participant recruitment consent follow-up and retention throughout the study. These tasks will require extensive use of online data management and tracking systems. The Assistant Research Coordinator will coordinate the assembly and shipment of biospecimen collection kits to and from study participants. Responsibilities will also be to assist with data collection and quality assurance coordinate study logistics and contribute to process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a background in public health and a solid understanding of health program operations along with strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. The ability to engage effectively with both study participants and the research team is essential to the smooth implementation and operation of study activities. Work will be performed mostly onsite for this position. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Coordinates participant involvement by assisting with recruitment and consent processes. Accurately documents all contact with participants and tracks participant progress using online data systems and tracking spreadsheets. Maintains clear and consistent communication to support engagement and retention throughout the study and provides follow-up as needed. Assists the assembly mailing and delivery of biosample kits to participants according to established study timelines. Conducts literature reviews on remote biospecimen collection to support study practices and enhance the overall participant experience. Schedules and facilitates virtual meetings with participants related to study consent including answering questions explaining study procedures and reviewing informed consent. Assists with data collection and database management while maintaining quality control standards to ensure the integrity of data and research findings. Participates in weekly meetings with the research team as well as project-specific trainings/related meetings. Provides ongoing project support by taking meeting minutes scheduling follow-up meetings coordinating project-related tasks and performing general administrative duties.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Public Health or related discipline. CITI certification in human subjects research. Previous experience with online study data management systems. Previous experience with electronic medical records systems. Previous experience conducting literature reviews. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds with an understanding of health disparities particularly in the context of public health research or community-based programs.
