You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailReporting to the CFO North America you will be a key member of the North America Finance team whos primarily responsibility is to prepare the management and statutory reporting for 10 legal entities. You will own key processes within the finance department with the opportunity to take on ad-hoc and highly visible projects as time permits.
Role Responsibilities
Preparation and oversight of monthly financial reporting including closing the books and variance analysis for the North America business.
Support the revenue billing and accounts payable process.
Advise on how to create or improve current financial operations;
Ensure that the financial control environment is effective;
Support the finance function in day to day tasks including collaboration with finance teams across the globe;
Manage intercompany positions and oversee intercompany reconciliation across entities;
Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for several U.S. entities (including a regulated Trust Company);
Ensure that the accounts are prepared in accordance with IFRS/US GAAP and that new rules and regulations are implemented and adhered to.
Assisting with the annual audits including preparing audit deliverables;
Assist finance team to achieve objectives of the U.S finance function. This will include ad-hoc project work.
Document newly developed processes and controls.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
CPA required; including knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP;
Approx. 10 years of experience;
Familiar with managing a small team;
Previous experience in an Accounting role (public accounting and/or industry)
Comfortable managing own workload to ensure deadlines are met;
Excellent communication skills interacting with people at all levels and across all departments;
Personal commitment to high quality work and able to demonstrate good attention to detail.
