Title:Cable Assembly Technician
Reporting To:Production Manager

Job Type:Full-Time Hourly
As a Cable Assembly Technician at Senergy youll build the cable assemblies that keep our hybrid energy systems runningand support general mechanical and wiring assembly as needed. Using hand tools diagrams and detailed work instructions youll prepare wire apply terminations and assemble jacketed cables for use in our products. This role is perfect for someone with strong hand skills a sharp eye for detail and pride in producing clean consistent and reliable work on the bench.
Youve got a steady hand sharp eye and a knack for turning wire into something solid and reliable. You take pride in quality craftsmanship and doing things right the first time. Youve spent time in production or manufacturing environments are comfortable with hand tools and crimpers and can follow instructions down to the letter. Whether youre building a 1-off prototype or prepping parts for production runs you bring consistency care and a strong sense of ownership to everything you build.
Drawing Interpretation:Read and interpret basic assembly drawings wiring diagrams and work instructions with minimal supervision.
Wire Preparation & Cable Assembly:Prepare and assemble wire harnesses and jacketed assembling by cutting stripping crimping terminating and bundling wires for internal and external connections.
Cross-Functional Assembly:Perform a variety of tasks across cable assembly mechanical builds and wiringbased on production priorities and team needs.
Tool Operation:Safely and effectively use hand tools (strippers crimpers torque wrenches) multimeters heat guns standing power tools and other production equipment.
Inspection:Perform visual and dimensional inspection of cables and assemblies to confirm compliance with internal specifications and customer standards.
Documentation & Standards:Complete all required documentation and ensure all work meets internal and customer quality standards.
Collaboration:Work alongside team members engineers and supervisors to clarify requirements and address production issues as needed.
Knowledge Sharing:Contribute to team learning by sharing techniques and supporting training initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:Identify suggest and support process improvements that enhance workflow consistency and quality.
Additional dutiesmay be assigned as necessary to support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Education: High School diploma or equivalent vocational or technical school training preferred.
Experience: 2 years of related experience in production/assembly environments.
Skills: Basic knowledge of hand-tools (e.g. strippers crimpers torque wrenches multimeters etc.). Ability to read and follow electrical schematics and assembly instructions. Strong attention to detail and hand strength/dexterity.
Familiarity with IPC-620 Class 3 standards.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Basic knowledge of power systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise and temperature variations.
