Program Coordinator

IAM/Boeing Joint Programs South is currently seeking a Program Coordinator to join their team in Puyallup WA. This position is located in Puyallup and may require travel to Auburn.

Established in 1989 IAM/Boeing Joint Programs is a labor/management partnership where our leadership our staff and our services all reflect a balanced partnership between the International Association of Machinist (IAM) Union and the Boeing Company. Together we are dedicated to improving the health safety and educational opportunities for IAM-represented employees in the Puget Sound and Portland.

The ideal candidate will champion the organizations partnership priorities mission and vision recognizing its history and striving to transform its future. This individual will be proactive an engaged self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively and independently. Program coordinators are critical links to our customer base so the ability and desire to establish a robust network across their assigned space is a must. Program coordinators work hand in hand with their partner to collaboratively perform their statement of work.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs activities to plan design deliver and maintain Joint Program projects to improve technical competence and safety of the workforce
  • Establishes partnerships within Boeing the Machinists union and the external community to provide services as chartered by the collective bargaining agreement
  • Communicates Joint Programs products and services to represented employees union staff management and external organizations
  • Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes
  • Influences change across multiple teams

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of experience creating and developing strategy plans
  • 3 years of experience creatively solving problems and generating alternatives
  • 3 years of experience managing projects in a manufacturing environment
  • 3 years of experience in facilitating or helping to lead process improvement activities

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience coaching and developing others
  • Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and/or IAM/Boeing Joint Programs activities
  • 3 years of experience in cross-functional leadership collaborative problem solving building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • Leadership experience desired (Lead groups teams activities etc)
