Job Summary
This is not an entry level position. Brewery experience is required. Technical/educational training is preferred. This is a hybrid role - the ideal candidate will be comfortable moving from cellar to packaging depending on the needs of the shift. This is a full-time position and compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in wort production beer cellaring and beer packaging
Formal beer production education
Prior forklift certification preferred
Clean driving record
General Brewery Duties
Follow all SOPs and safety protocols
Keep accurate records of brite volumes packaging totals etc.
Maintain a safe clean and orderly work environment
Safely operate the forklift and hand trucks
Participate in various cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the brewery
Communicate with other production staff
Cellaring Duties
Perform dry hop additions transfers and carbonation
Operate equipment associate with the role (Anton Paar CBox Zahm etc)
Execute CIPs and SIPs on fermenters brite tanks and yeast brinks
Carry out hygienic cellar practices
Packaging Duties
Wash kegs and keep track of clean and dirty keg pallets
Package beer from brite tanks into kegs
Operate equipment associated with the role (depalletizer can filler Paktech machine etc)
Run all CIP and SIPs on the canning line.
Abilities and Physical Requirements
Maintain composure while multitasking
Attention to detail is paramount
Communicate clearly with coworkers and managers
Aware of personal physical needs and not afraid to ask for help with physical tasks
Recognize when to ask for help with procedures
Comfortable with problem solving
Motivated to learn more about the beer-making process
Writing and math skills
Consistently lift and carry 40 pounds and occasionally team lift 160 pound kegs
Frequent bending stooping pushing lifting kneeling and reaching
Must be able to stand for most of the workday
Consistently able to use repetitive hand and wrist motion.
Work in cold hot wet environments with hazardous materials
