Responsibilities:
Preparation and ongoing review of department budget.
Responsible for work schedules assigns personnel evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
Maintains established departmental and state regulations policies and procedures objectives quality assurance program safety environmental and infection control standards. Constructs documents as required.
Directs maintenance of departmental facilities equipment supplies and materials in a condition to promote efficiency health comfort safety of patients and staff.
Establishes and maintains communication within the department and with other hospital departments. Develops relationships with the professional affiliations and others as appropriate.
Applies Radiological Technology Skills when necessary. Oversees new testing procedures and related protocol. Encourages and approves introduction and demonstration of new techniques equipment and research findings.
Serves as knowledgeable resource and implementer of quality assurance programs. Establishes and maintains safety environmental and infection control policies and procedures for the department.
Applies all JCAHO requirements.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs current literature in-service meetings and workshops.
Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed
