Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint a Secondary Physics Teacher. You will have demonstrated the ability to be a leading teacher of VCE Physics with a track record of excellence both in and out of the classroom. Experience teaching Year 7-10 Science in addition to Physics would be an advantage. The role requires an exceptional educator and leader who is passionate about engaging and motivating students.
About the Role
As a key member of our Science Department you will be able to deliver a vibrant curriculum to your students and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in these areas. You will be using teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group and a willingness to differentiate curriculum to the needs of the students. You will bring your passion for science to the school and above all have a willingness to engage connect and care for our students.
This is a full time ongoing teaching role commencing Term3 2025.
About You
You will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and experience in teaching Physics and Science. You will demonstrate:
Careand connectedness with students
Current VIT registration
Experience teaching Units 1 to 4 VCE Physics
Experience teaching Science Years 7-10 advantage
Strong IT skills
Ability to encourage andmotivate your students
Strong communicationand organisational skills
Highly developed interpersonal skills
You will havedemonstrated knowledge of the subject within the VCE and Australian CurriculumFrameworkswhere relevant
You will encourage students to take risks within a structured school environment to make individual choices and to use new experiences as learning opportunities
You will havea desire to work collaboratively with other teachers and actively engagein the broader life of the School
