General Overview:

The Donor Relations Associate plays an important role in supporting the fundraising programs for Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This position report to the Executive Director of Development Resources and works with the Executive Director of Development to plan and execute development and stewardship activities designed to establish donor connections with the institution and help to deepen engagement and foster an environment that leads to philanthropic gifts. In support of those activities the Donor Relations Associate may communicate with the Presidents office Deans office trustees VIP prospects and donors School of Medicine department chairpersons faculty and research staff. This position will play a key role in donor relations and administrative support but may be called upon to assist with facilitating medical requests for donors who ask for additional help in navigating the University of Miami Health System. The Donor Relations Associate will also be expected to solve problems and participate in a full range of tasks implementing appropriate solutions in compliance with the Universitys policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Must be solution-oriented and able to work independently to successfully complete projects on deadline. Excellent command of the English language both oral and written with a high level of creativity attention to detail and superior customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook). Must have initiative mixed with good sound judgment and a high level of discretion to handle sensitive information. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a dynamic team environment across multiple divisions.

Any relevant education certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
