Job Summary
Work Shift
1 - First ShiftAre you the type of person who is dedicated to leading teams and serving others Do you enjoy physical security have robust risk management communication and de-escalation skills In this role you will lead a team of security professionals and be responsible for physical security and emergency response for the Vermeer Pella campus. Were looking for a high integrity leader with a strong background in risk mitigation emergency management physical security and relationship building.What Youll Do
1. May lead and coach local security staff in the performance of their duties. Monitor individual and team goals and ensure team alignment with the organizations strategies and objectives to drive performance. Cultivate a learning environment through team member growth and development.
2. Assess and measure the capabilities to mitigate against prepare for respond to and recover from all emergencies.
3. Advise business owners and establishes physical security strategies to protect company assets.
4. Communicate collaborate and coordinate with local government agencies for response planning and execution.
5. Facilitate document and manage training for first responders Incident Commanders and security staff.
6. Partner with Human Resources and Legal departments to conduct investigations requiring the use of security assets.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Security Management or Criminal Justice with five years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- FEMA Incident Command certification preferred.
- Ability to identify and mitigate local threats.
- Subject Matter Expert in de-escalation techniques.
- Skilled at implementing a full spectrum of physical security methods for a single site.
Travel
- Occasional travel is expected of this position.
Work Location
ONSITE: A team members day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location discuss potential arrangements with your manager.Equal Opportunity Employer
