GE Aerospace in Loves Park IL focuses on the design and manufacturing of advanced aviation systems and components. This includes electrical power systems actuation and landing gear aerostructures and propeller systems for both military and civil aircraft. The facility also houses a world-class pneumatics laboratory for testing high-precision components like engine pneumatic valves and starter systems.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist at GE Aerospace you will play a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality aerospace components and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes improve efficiency and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop implement and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production goals.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of aerospace components.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety quality and regulatory standards.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain documentation including standard work instructions and process flow diagrams.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and transition from prototype to production.
• Provide technical support and training to production staff.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment)

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or a similar industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing tools.

The base pay range for this position is $75500.00 - 94300.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 7/28/2025.
