Job Description
The HP Tandem Modernization Architect leads the transformation of legacy mainframe systems into modern cloud-native architectures.
With 15 18 years of experience in HP Tandem technologies-including HP NonStop COBOL TACL Pathway SQL/MP and Enscribe-this role requires deep technical expertise and knowledge of modernization frameworks.
Key responsibilities include migrating batch components to microservices on cloud platforms such as AWS and ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems.
A background in Python cloud-native design and familiarity with event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka and Flink) is desirable. The role also involves designing integration points between mainframe and distributed systems guiding technical teams and aligning modernization efforts with business and enterprise architecture goals.
