Permanent Nurse Practitioner-Family Location: Round Rock TX 78665
Shift: Full-Time Days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Job Functions: - Conduct comprehensive and focused physical examinations and collect detailed medical histories to assess patients physical and mental health.
- Order collect interpret and evaluate diagnostic and laboratory tests to identify health problems and determine patient care needs.
- Prescribe or recommend medications and other therapeutic treatments per approved protocols emphasizing safety efficacy and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practice and standards of care; consult with physicians or team members when appropriate.
- Monitor and evaluate the patients response to treatment plans adjusting as necessary.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families about disease processes medications nutrition preventive health and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and timely records documenting assessments treatment plans interventions and outcomes.
- Initiate consultations or referrals when patient needs exceed the scope of practice or expertise.
- Deliver specialty consultation services and manage patients in various settings (e.g. clinic inpatient procedural units emergency departments).
- Perform clinical procedures within scope and proficiency under physician delegation.
- Participate in coverage needs beyond regular work hours when required.

Required Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Experience: Open to candidates with less than 1 year of experience
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP)-Licensed in Texas
- Registered Nurse (RN)-Texas RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)-Required within 30 days of hire
- Board Certification as an APRN in Family Medicine or relevant patient population focus
