Job Description

Job Quick Facts:

Coverage Type: Clinical Call

Service Setting: Inpatient

Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing

Shift Schedule: 12-hr shifts; 6p-6a

- Up to possibly 20 shifts/month

Call Schedule: 24-hr calls; TBD

Call Type: In-house

Call Coverage: Emergent cases

- Sleep room can be available if needed.

Patient Volume: 10-25 (ICU: 3)

No. of Surgeries: Ave. of 3 per day

Admissions: 3-5

Patient Demographics:

- Adult 98%; Peds 2%; Trauma 90%

Preferred Procedures:

- General neurosurgery: Adult & Trauma

- Cerebrovascular: Open Endovascular Carotid or vertebral artery surgery Aneurysm clipping

- Spinal surgery w/ & w/o instrumentation

- Placement of ICP monitors

Lab & X-ray Onsite: Yes

EMR: Epic

Required to Supervise APPs: Yes; There are a couple of days where locum tenens physician is covering Neurosurgery call.

Travel lodging and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements:

Active CO License or IMLC

PA first assist preferred
