Job Description
academic coordinator oversees and manages academic programs within an educational institution ensuring the smooth operation of academic activities and supporting student success. This role involves curriculum development course scheduling student advising and facilitating communication between faculty students and administrators.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Management:
Collaborating with faculty to develop review and revise academic curricula ensuring alignment with educational standards and institutional goals.
Course Scheduling:
Planning and organizing course schedules coordinating with faculty and considering student needs and enrollment.
Student Support and Advising:
Providing guidance to students on academic matters course selection and program progression.
Faculty Support:
Assisting faculty with curriculum development instructional strategies and the use of academic resources.
Academic Events and Workshops:
Organizing and coordinating academic events workshops and seminars to enhance learning and engagement.
Data Management and Reporting:
Maintaining accurate academic records tracking student progress and preparing reports for management.
Communication and Collaboration:
Facilitating communication between faculty students and administration ensuring smooth coordination of academic activities.
Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with institutional policies accreditation standards and relevant educational regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills: Essential for managing schedules coordinating activities and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal skills: Needed for building relationships with students faculty and staff.
