Overall Purpose
As a Business Analyst you will be part of the Tasman Change Team and will be responsible for requirements definition and change request management.
What will you be doing
- Collating understanding and documenting business requirements for change requests or reviewing same from third parties
- Creating clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria to guide the development team
- Analysing and document both current (As Is) and proposed (To Be) business processes from an operational and system perspective.
- Process mapping and re-engineering to create efficiencies
- Presenting business benefits and articulating requirements at all levels including Senior Management.
- Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and clients to manage expectations and ensure alignment.
- Liaising between the development team and the business
- Gathering requirements and creating spike/ change requests from incidents and errors
- Ensuring that deliverables and documentation meets Mars Capital Change Delivery Model standards
- Participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives
- Assisting in the development of test plans and performing user acceptance testing where required to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Qualifications :
Expertise
- 8 years experience in Business Analysis/Requirements Gathering and Business Change roles ideally in Financial Services
- Experience in Financial Services and specially Mortgages Loans or Payment sectors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with third-party clients.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. DevOps Confluence).
- Exceptional documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Experience and knowledge of creating in-depth User Acceptance Criteria
- Strong understanding of financial controls and risk
- Demonstrable experience working on operational and technology process analysis and design
- Proficient in the use of Visio or equivalent process mapping solutions
- Process identification and mapping
- Knowledge of waterfall and agile development methods
- Proven stakeholder management experience able to facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders at multiple levels in an organisation
Additional Information :
Complexity
The systems against which the candidate will be expected to develop are complex in their level of interconnectivity and design. Architectural and logical decisions often need thorough refinement before any implementation.
Influence
The candidate must have excellent inter-personal skills as they will be required to attend meetings with users at different levels across the business to discuss new work and participate in reviews of code releases where database development requirements were in-scope.
The candidate will join an Agile delivery team part of a wider Programme team with a vast knowledge and skill in varying disciplines.
The candidate will be expected to liaise with and assist the test team in environment configuration and solution design to ensure testing can be completed effectively.
Resource
The candidate will be largely independent and responsible for their own work all work is subject to peer review. Senior members are expected to guide more junior team members and structure their development in line with Mars development practises.
