Job Description
- Manage container inventory and perform reconciliation between physical and system records.
- Execute daily yard planning container entry and exit processing and general yard maintenance tasks.
- Work directly with truckers and engage actively in yard and gate operations.
- Complete and organize documentation filing paperwork accurately and on time.
- Ensure container security and gate procedures are followed in compliance with company safety policies.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to resolve operational discrepancies.
- Support outbound operations with process improvements and ad hoc innovation initiatives.
- Communicate proactively with carriers to resolve operational delays or service issues.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including Carrier Management Transportation and Settlement to meet operational targets.
- Conduct preliminary theft reporting and provide follow-up support as needed.
- Perform facility compliance checks aligned with internal safety and regulatory standards.
- Submit accurate data for use in reporting KPIs and management dashboards.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma required or higher degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in logistics yard management or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as standing crouching and walking up to 2 miles daily.
- Comfortable working outdoors in the yard and climbing on and off trailers.
- Strong multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail and organization.
- Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to draft and edit documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel Word and Outlook.
- Bilingual in Spanish required
- Ability to work fully on site (Otay CA)
- Flexibility with work hours and willingness to work overtime including weekends as needed.
- Work Hours: 2:00 PM 11:00 PM
