Job Description

Our Ambassador will:

  • Assist in the day to day operations of the Front Office and Housekeeping department including greeting guests assisting with cars hotel doors guest luggage lobby services and security functions ensuring that standards are maintained in these areas efficiency evident and customers needs met and expectations exceeded. Assisting with arrival and departure procedures and upholding cleanliness standards of hotel outlets.
  • Provide quality service to the customer by responding to their requests promptly efficiently and courteously during check-in check-out and throughout their stay.
  • Maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis.
  • Assist with car / hotel doors and guest luggage. Ensure timely delivery of all guest luggage. Explain technology and features of guest rooms.
  • Exercise care and responsibility when parking guest vehicles. Follow procedures set out in manual.
  • Ensure messages and faxes are delivered with the utmost urgency.
  • All guest property in storage long or short term documented and cared for.
  • When guest report lost property take all relevant information and pass on to housekeeping.
  • Maintain the cleanliness level of all hotel areas by cleaning the public areas (especially lobby and forecourt area) but including nightly cleaning hotel outlets and facilities and conference spaces.
  • Use and clean equipment with care reporting any defective equipment as set in procedures manual.
  • Ensure all corridors are free of trays linen trolleys or cages. 

Qualifications :

  • Valid Full New Zealand Drivers Licence
  • Clean Driving History
  • Strong Presentation and organisation skills
  • Ability to work in the fast paced environment and be proactive
  • Previous hotel experience in Customer Service and/or Cleaning Experience is a bonus
