Job Description
- Job title: IT Apprentice
- Job Type: Apprenticeship
- Location: Ellesmere Port
- Salary: Apprenticeship salary 16575 per annum
- Hours: 37.5 hours Monday- Friday 9-5:30
SGS is looking for a motivated IT Apprentice to join our team!
This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment while working towards a recognised IT qualification.
About the Role
As an IT Apprentice you will support the IT team in daily technical operations user support and system maintenance. You will develop essential IT skills through structured training and real-world experience helping to ensure the smooth running of SGSs internal IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support to internal users.
- Assist with the installation configuration and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Support the setup and troubleshooting of network devices.
- Log and track support tickets ensuring accurate documentation.
- Participate in IT projects under supervision.
Qualifications :
The Ideal Candidate
A motivated tech-savvy individual with good communication skills eager to learn and start a career in IT through hands-on experience and training.
- Customer service experience or participation in IT-related projects at school/college.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English Maths and IT.
Desirable:
A-levels or equivalent in Computing ICT or related subjects.
