Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Sydney Olympic Park. This role is responsible for managing all culinary operations across multiple outlets ensuring high-quality food operational efficiency and a positive team culture. The Head Chef will play a key role in menu planning food cost control kitchen staffing and maintaining food safety standards. A strong leader and creative thinker the Head Chef will inspire the team to deliver memorable dining experiences while aligning with Accors values and Heartist philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all kitchen operations ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
Design and cost seasonal menus banquet offerings and daily specials.
Lead train and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
Manage food and labour costs to meet budget and business targets.
Ensure compliance with WHS HACCP and hygiene regulations.
Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain inventory levels.
Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment.
Partner with internal departments and external suppliers.
Promote sustainability practices in line with Accors Net Zero goals.
Act as a brand ambassador supporting Accors values and service culture.
Qualifications :
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum requirement).
Proven experience as a Head Chef in a hotel or multi-outlet venue.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor teams.
Solid understanding of menu design food costing and financial controls.
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and WHS practices.
Creative and adaptable with a strong focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
Professional communication and time management skills.
Passion for sustainability and innovation in the kitchen.
