Job Description
Infosys is seeking a Mainframe Developer.
In the assigned job role of Technology Consultant 2 you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle in Mainframe. You will also be expected to build high-throughput fault tolerant systems with requirements including elicitation application architecture definition and design. You will play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation transition and warranty. You will be part of a learning culture where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged excellence is rewarded and diversity is respected and valued.
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Phoenix AZ or Sunrise FL or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Area of Responsibility (Job duties encompassing one or more of the following)
Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements in line with guidance provided
Facilitate software application design discussions and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications with a focus on maintaining system stability
Conduct code reviews make changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
Implement test strategies analyze results and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
Develop user training programs documentation and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
Maintain detailed records of code testing techniques and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

The ability to handle end to end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation.
A knack for translating complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
A passion for design and hands-on coding experience
A proactive approach to testing troubleshooting and refining our applications.
The ability to work with cross-functional teams and do software integration
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
Experience inCICS COBOL JCL DB2 MQ VSAM FILEAID.
Banking domain experience.
Preferred Skills
Experience in CICS COBOL JCL DB2 MQ VSAM FILEAID and mainframe infrastructure.
Experience in mainframe production support.
Good knowledge of any application servers like Tomcat WebSphere JBoss etc.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
