This position may be located in one of the following DCS field offices: Kingman Lake Havasu Bullhead City or Prescott.
Under the supervision of the Supervision Coach Program Supervisor this position serves the mission of DCS by assisting in building workforce members proficiency in: safety assessment clinical supervision clinical case management the DCS Management System coaching in child welfare and culture of safety and learning.
This position will provide coaching in the Northwest Region and can be located out of any of the following areas: Kingman Lake Havasu City Bullhead City or Prescott
Provides direct coaching to workforce members regarding SAFE AZ Protective Factors Framework Youth Thrive family engagement clinical supervision DCS Management System coaching in child welfare and building and maintaining a culture of safety and learning.
Responsible for observation and feedback of clinical supervision and the use of the DCS Management System. Follows the standard work for Supervision Coaches. Provides case consultation as a practice expert.
Facilitates training to new leaders and new coaches. Leads group learning activities with workforce members and peers.
Meets at regular intervals with direct supervisor to foster continuous growth and development through coaching observations and feedback.
Participates in individual development activities.
Travels within region county and state as needed to fulfill job functions.
Knowledge of:
Federal and state laws/statutes related to child protection
State and department policies procedures and standards related to child protection and supervision
SAFE AZ Protective Factors Framework and Youth Thrive
DCS Management System
Qualitative and quantitative information gathering and evaluation techniques
Relevant computer software products such as Microsoft Office.
Skill in:

Masters or Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and
- Two (2) years as a DCS Program Supervisor
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Must be able to secure and maintain clearance from the CPS Central Registry.
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation

In an effort to better serve our communities DCS offers a Bi-Lingual Stipend to all interested and eligible DCS Employees who successfully complete a language proficiency exam. Qualifying employees will receive a $500 annual stipend paid in equal increments.
