Job Description

Overview

*Starting rate $63835*

Advocates is seeking a collaborative team oriented individual to join our Trauma Informed Team. The Outpatient Clinician will provide comprehensive outpatient counseling/therapy to children adolescents and families in need of services. This candidate will work with local school systems two to three days per week and work in the outpatient clinic with the remaining time. This is a year round position. Additional Shift Details

This position would have 2-3 days in person at a local high school one day in person at the Waltham clinic and 1-2 days where you would be working from home. The in-person clinic day would need to be a weekday from 12:00-8:00 or 9-5 on a weekend day.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a balanced healthy safe and open environment for clients.
  • Provide evaluations for children adolescents adults and families
  • Provide individual and family treatment to children adolescents adults and families.
  • Coordinate collaboration and contact with clients families and other external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Advocate for clients needs within the program as well as with external agencies.
  • Maintain up to date client records including written evaluations treatment plans quarterly reviews termination summaries and progress notes.
  • Attend and actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.
  • Value collaboration and team based care.
  • Being open and willing to expand knowledge.
  • Ensure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates Human Rights Policy.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the agencys policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • MSW degree or MA in related field from an accredited college/university and one year of experience working within an outpatient setting.
  • Must hold a valid drivers license and access to an operational and insured vehicle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of basic computer applications.
  • Ability to thrive in an independent role while offering and receiving team support.
  • Intuitive client-centered supportive approach.
