Job Description

Software International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US.

We are currently looking for a IT Workstation Technician - SCCM for our worldwide IT consulting and services firm that is working with a major auto manufacturer on a long term project.

Role(s) Required: IT Workstation Technician - SCCM

Location: Hybrid - 4 days onsite in Cambridge ON 1 day remote

Employment Type:Contract

Duration: 12 months long term renewals afterwards could be multi-year

Required Start Date: ASAP

Total Hours Approved Per Role: 40h/week

Rate/Salary: $30-50/hr C2C depending on experience

Job Description:

The individual will support the enterprise in building a more secure and stable IT environment. This team member will serve as a technical contact for clients IT Workstation activities. Flexibility and diplomacy are key to success in this role. Junior and intermediate candidates are welcome provided they have relevant experience.

Desired Technical Experience:

  1. PowerShell scripting
  2. SCCM and/or Intune administration
  3. Windows GPO Active Directory and Windows security
  4. Hardware troubleshooting
  5. Software troubleshooting

Soft Skills:

  • Full system life cycle experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Diplomatic approach when dealing with customers
  • Big-picture thinking
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Basic hardware deployment and troubleshooting
  • Agile development experience
  • Requirements gathering and business analysis
  • Deadline-driven and process-oriented
  • Team player

Other Details:

  • Work location: On-site in Cambridge (1 day/week remote)
  • Availability: Emergency and approved after-hours/weekend support as needed

Certifications (Nice to Have):

  • Microsoft Certifications
  • A or equivalent
  • Structured programming knowledge
