Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Parts Interpreter to take charge of parts operations in a busy workshop environment. This is a senior-level role ideally suited to someone with strong technical parts knowledge and leadership capability in the heavy vehicle sector particularly across European truck brands.
Youll play a key role in ensuring fast accurate parts supply to both the workshop floor and external customers while overseeing inventory supplier relationships and stock control systems.
Key Responsibilities

Identify locate and supply parts for Scania Volvo and other heavy transport vehicles

Provide technical support and parts interpretation for workshop technicians

Manage inventory levels purchasing stocktakes and supplier coordination

Process quotes orders and invoices with accuracy and efficiency

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product changes and part number cross-referencing

Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external clients

Contribute to process improvements and team training as a senior member of the department

Support workshop planning by aligning parts availability with job scheduling

Ensure all parts operations meet safety quality and compliance standards
Skills & Experience Required
-
Minimum 5 years experience in a Parts Interpreter role ideally in heavy vehicle transport or dealership environments

Advanced knowledge of Scania and/or Volvo truck components is highly desirable

Strong supplier management and inventory control skills

Familiarity with parts management software (e.g. Pentana Reynolds & Reynolds or similar)

Excellent communication time management and customer service abilities

Forklift licence desirable

Current manual drivers licence essential
