The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Global Services (BGS) Program Management Experience team exists to enable our programs to increase the consistency and predictability of program execution. We serve as part of the PM function across both BGS Government and Commercial programs to ensure the people process and tools support our program managers.
This job posting is for a versatile team member to bring application of program management practices and program execution experience to reach a broader audience. The selected candidate will bring subject matter expertise in a pragmatic approach to supporting BGS programs. Our group primarily provides a PM knowledge hub (command media PM sidekick AI enabled chatbot and other reference architecture) Program support services (coaching on the job training facilitation project management) and a PM Platform (ESGP online tool BORIS).
Success in this role comes from proactively engaging with our programs actively listening and prioritizing high value pain points to convert them into improvements. The ideal candidate will have a proven aptitude for asking insightful and challenging questions to drive clarity accountability and informed decision-making. A strong sense of managing stakeholders and experience with the defined Program Management Best Practices will allow for greater autonomy while working as part of a very collaborative team.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.
Position Responsibilities:
Partner with business to proactively identify and understand current state challenges and opportunities for program execution improvement
Collaborate with other members of the Program Management core function to generate insights and generate divergent innovative solutions
Contribute subject matter expertise from applied learnings of Program Management Best Practices
Represent findings to program/senior leadership in compelling ways which drive a bias for action
Monitor assess and mentor implementation teams to help achieve desired outcomes and keep clear lines of communication for feedback and advice in augmentation or further iteration of strategies
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
8 years of experience in program management
Experience solving complicated problems by working with cross-functional teams
Experience with program management best practices in defense commercial or aerospace services programs (Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs and projects from initiation to completion)
Experience in providing coaching on-the-job training and facilitation to program managers and teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher
Deep understanding and experience with program management best practices methodologies and tools
Familiarity with program management platforms and tools such as ESGP BORIS and other relevant software
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for driving program improvements.
