Special Education Teacher

Reed Academy a 12 month therapeautic school for students with varying profiles has been serving students families communities and school districts in Framingham MA for over 50 years. Reed Academy provides educational services for students ages 8-18 with varying profiles which include special education needs therapeutic supports learning disabilities social-emotional needs as well as many other supports needed for students and families to have success in their Academy takes pride in their small student to staff ratio. Often times classroom sizes and student to staff ratio remain low often with classroom sizes ranging from 1:2 1:3 2:5 etc with many supports in place both within and outside the classroom for student students will receive a differentiated education based upon their IEP needs. Students receive small setting classroom environments and passionate professionals with many years of experience in the field of special education. Reed Academy provides all educational services for students and families in need and does so in a way unlike many special education programs around the Academy is located at 1 Winch St Framingham Ma 01701 conveniently near many major roadways making it easy for commute. Students at Reed Academy come from towns and cities all over the MetroWest area and beyond. Our school hours are:Monday-Thursday - 9:00am to 3:30pmFriday - 9:00am to 12:30pmReed Academy is a 12 month program which requires students to attend our extended school year program (Summer session). That consists of typically a 6 week Summer session to meet educational requirement needs of all students. All students at Reed Academy currently receiving IEP services. Our school and grounds boast a swimming pool baseball/kickball field fully functioning and student grown/maintained garden gym/basketball court as well as 500 acres of recreational state park usage across the street (Callahan State Park) which is used for outdoor classrooms hiking meditation biking fishing etc! Our location facilities and local opportunities provide a unique pathway to meet all students needs in their academic careers.
