Cary Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Patient Access Representative to join our Patient Access team. The successful applicant is responsible for recognizing and executing all functions necessary to receive and distribute calls complete required reports handle emergencies and act as a consultant to customers coming into the hospital.
Essential Duties:
1. Courteously and effectively receives and distributes telephone communications.
2. Direct traffic and questions for patients and outside sources.
3. Keeps accurate details of all inpatients.
4. Maintain and report as requested ongoing logs staffing meeting minutes etc.
5. Be familiar with all Switchboard daily functions.
Education Skills and Experience Requirements:
1. Must have excellent telephone etiquette.2. Type at least 30 WPM with accuracy.
