Title: Quality Engineer - Reliability

Key Accountabilities:
- Reliability Engineering Duties:
Systematically investigate returned materials and line call incidents. Conduct zero-hour failure evaluations and support COP (Conformance of Production) and gap analysis. Investigate plant quality issues and support part inspections for Design and Supplier Development. Analyze warranty data support field test success criteria and execute special projects. Maintain lab equipment and interpret test results independently. Participate in cross-functional meetings and report KPIs to management.
- Chemical & Fluids Engineering Duties:
Monitor and assess condition of production fluids including machining coolants lubricants engine coolants and fuel used in manufacturing and testing. Establish and maintain sampling protocols and analysis criteria for fluid health and contamination control. Lead efforts in identifying root causes of fluid-related failures and propose corrective actions. Collaborate with maintenance and production to optimize fluid life usage and safety. Support and oversee technical cleanliness evaluations for critical engine parts during and after manufacturing processes. Recommend process improvements based on analytical results and industry standards for cleanliness and fluid management.
- Standard Duties:
Support Manager of Reliability Engineering in maintaining project timelines tracking of tasks as well as preparation and facilitation of meetings. Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct. Perform special projects as required.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of mechanical and/or quality engineering experience; or 7 years of mechanical and/or quality engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of fluid systems and contamination control in a production environment.
- Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with lab testing procedures cleanliness standards and equipment monitoring.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and lab instrumentation.
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.
- Strong oral written and presentation skills with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
- Strong organizational planning and follow-up skills
- Strong computer skills and good knowledge of engine mechanics and tools including design usage repair and maintenance
- Good knowledge of production processes and quality control techniques
- Ability to work flexible hours or shifts
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
Work Environment
1. Primarily office and lab environment safety glasses and safety shoes required in the plant and lab areas.
2. Occasional lifting of diesel engine components (30 lbs.)
3. Up to 10% travel to various MTU business offices worldwide including visits to MTU Distributors direct customers or OEM for the purposes of investigation reporting and process development
