Job Description

Become a part of a dynamic team of multi-disciplinary practitioners working with Connecticut public schools to implement evidence-based prevention-oriented practices and systems through ongoing coaching and consultation. Our approach is data-driven context-relevant and most importantly sustainability-oriented.

  • Candidates should have experience in the following areas:

    • Consultation: Demonstrate fluency in consultative approaches to support individual students classrooms programs and larger systems
    • Evidence-Based Support: Utilize tenets of applied behavior analysis (ABA) organizational behavior management (OBM) positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) other specialized research-based practices aligned with federal and state legislation.
    • Evaluation & Monitoring: Support program development and implementation/progress monitoring of wide-ranging consultative goals across diverse educational settings
    • Data-Based Problem Solving: Have experience in gathering organizing and analyzing student and systems-level data using educational technology and data-management systems for the purpose of developing meaningful recommendations leading implementation mapping and supporting progress monitoring evaluation and continuous improvement efforts
    • Assessment: Possess knowledge and skills in conducting a variety of assessments based on their area of expertise (e.g. needs assessment academic assessment psychological assessment assistive technology (AT) or functional behavioral assessment (FBA) etc.)
    • Educational Leadership: Be able to advise on the allocation of resources including personnel budget and technology to support sustainable and effective implementation of initiatives
    • Collaboration: Foster collaboration with and engage in training of school-based personnel on customized individualized implementation of strategies frameworks and/or strategic plans as delineated by comprehensively crafted consultation goals
    • Professional Learning: Engage in responsive consultation and possess fluency in providing meaningful and effective feedback and developing embedded professional learning opportunities for a wide range of educators
    • Technical Assistance: Maintain skills and strategies to guide effective coaching and consultation with clear opportunities for active engagement and application of concepts that emphasize best practices in supporting ALL students

Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in education special education speech pathology applied behavior analysis school psychology or other related field required
  • Must be able to provide evidence of skilled experience in report writing and the development/implementation of evidence-based strategies
  • Previous experience should include work as an instructional coach educational consultant or school/district administrator/leader
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
