Description

Hennepin County District Court invites qualified applications for Supervising Clinical Forensic Psychologist to work in the Regional Psychological Services Division.

As a Supervising Clinical Forensic Psychologist you will provide direct supervision to a team of roughly five to nine forensic psychologists and will also perform forensic psychological evaluations.

This position requires a high level of technological competence to address a broad spectrum of complex psychological and psycholegal issues that are routinely encountered inCriminal Juvenile Family and Mental Health Court position serves as an independent expert consultant to the Bench on such matters as competency to proceed criminal responsibility civil commitment juvenile certification risk and public safety and amenability of criminal and juvenile offenders to various treatment programming options.

Work includes performing forensic psychological evaluations of adult and/or adolescent clients using psycho-diagnostic tests and other professional techniques. Emphasis of the work is on the provision of forensic psychological opinions to aid the trier of fact in resolving a range of psycholegal issues. This position alsoinvolves participation in various divisional and district leadership groups and initiatives.

The Psychological Services Division employs over 20 examiners as part of the Fourth Judicial District Court and serves the surrounding metro area in the provision of approximately 2000 forensic evaluations annually. This arrangement allows examiners a closer look and a deeper understanding of court proceedings and their role in access to justice.

This position will be based in the Hennepin County Government Center at 300 South 6th Street Minneapolis MN 55487. Work including evaluations will be conducted both remotely and at multiple locations throughout the Twin Cities Metropolitan area. Some travel to court locations in the metro area may also required. Applicants are not required to be based in Minnesota but limited travel to Minnesota may be required based on job responsibilities.

SALARY:

The expected starting salary range for external candidates is $46.73 to $59.59 per hour ($97572.24 to $124423.92 annually). The full salary range for this position is $46.27 to $72.45 per hour ($97572.24 to $151275.60 annually). This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for State of Minnesota employee benefits.
