Job Description

POSITION: Electrical Engineer II
FULLTIME/PARTTIME: 12-month assignment
LOCATION: Maple Grove MN
SCHEDULE: 8AM-4:30PM
PAY RANGE: $45-49/HR
(Exact compensation may vary based on skills experience and location. Base pay information is based on market location.)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Electrical Engineer II will be responsible for working with electrical ME equipment capital equipment electrical circuit boards and sustaining/testing while working on various products within Interventional Oncology.

Key Responsibilities
Designs develops debugs modifies and tests electrical circuits and systems by using current tools analysis techniques and technologies.
Solves engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
Investigates researches and selects electronic circuits components tools and equipment using best practices.
Documents electrical development by writing procedures reports memos and change requests.
Tracks electrical development effort by creating and maintaining records in Jira and other approved tracking management tools
Provides clear communication to stakeholders at key technical updates to facilitate crisp decision-making.
Develops novel improvements to products or processes resulting in expansion of Intellectual Property portfolio in key strategic areas.
Works cooperatively with process development quality manufacturing regulatory clinical and marketing on complex projects to ensure project success.
Trains and/or provides work direction to technicians.
In all actions demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to all documented quality processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering
Required minimum years of relevant work experience: 2 yrs
Experience utilizing EMI/EMC best practices for board-level circuit design using Altium and/or similar packages
Solid lab experience with debugging fixtures and test equipment.
Expertise in circuit design analysis techniques and simulation tools such as LTSpice

Additional Job Specific Requirements:
Ability to solve complex problems with root cause analysis including designing and executing experimental plans and using statistical methodologies to drive data-based decisions
Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources.
Excellent organizational communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently to plan schedule and execute activities necessary to meet project timelines

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels such as from office equipment.
  • The ability to lift up to 30lbs
  • Use of computers and technology
