About the Job:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced HSE Manager to lead the implementation of health safety and environmental standards across our clients construction sites facilities and offices. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all legislative and contractual HSE requirements while promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization. You will oversee site inspections risk assessments training initiatives and the proper use of safety equipment and PPE. Collaborating closely with project leaders contractors and site personnel you will drive continuous improvement in safety practices to protect people property and the environment. - Ensures the development and implementation of HSE policies regulations and procedures.
- Conducts regular inspections evaluations audits and walkthroughs of project sites and work facilities.
- Ensures full compliance with health and safety laws and regulations as well as the employers policies requirements and procedures.
- Recommends safety improvements where applicable.
- Oversees the evaluation of all site employees/workers and ensures appropriate training is provided as necessary.
- Coordinates with ER and the Contractor to ensure HSE equipment and PPE are supplied and properly used by all workers.
- Ensures risk assessments are conducted.
- Prepares and submits reports notes and presentations.
- Performs other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Site Deputy Project Director or other senior management ensuring alignment with project objectives and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Environmental Science or a related field.
- DOLE-accredited Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) training (e.g. BOSH COSH) is required.
- 10 years of solid HSE experience with a background in the renewable energy industry.
- Familiar with construction sites and project management of large infrastructure projects with international companies.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant national laws and regulations governing HSE practices on large construction projects.
- Proactive solutions-oriented and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and English communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Can start immediately if possible.
