Are you a driven and experienced Quality Technician looking to take the next step in your career Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you at our Distribution Center in Olive Branch MS! As a vital member of our Quality Department you will play a key role in maintaining product excellence by upholding quality control standards and performing detailed inspections on partsboth visually and with precision tools such as thread gauges. Your strong attention to detail and dedication to quality will help ensure we continue to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Oversee the inspection area which includes:
    • West Dock Inspection: Review incoming items placed on hold for inspection.
    • Rebox Area: Assess and manage damaged products.
    • MRB Tag Area: Evaluate items designated for scrap.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure all products meet company standards.
  • Handle return logistics by inspecting return parcels and pallets from various carriers to determine whether the product can be restocked or should be returned to the customer.
  • Conduct quality assurance observations of new hires including evaluations of all newly hired power equipment operators for training and development purposes.
  • Investigate customer complaints using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methods to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Apply strong mechanical aptitude to perform inspections and troubleshoot product-related concerns.
  • Manage and respond to quality alerts by performing detailed checks on products flagged by customer service.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • A minimum of 2 Years experience in Quality role.
  • Proven experience in quality inspection or a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with strong attention to detail and follow-up.
  • 2 years forklift experience or valid forklift certification.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess problem solving skills.
  • Must work with a keen sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand squat bend lift push and pull for shift all product/carton weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Warehouse Management System (WMS) environment (Oracle preferred).
  • Experience working in distribution setting.
