Position Overview
As a Lecturer at Stanley College you will be a cornerstone of academic excellence delivering high-quality education and fostering an environment of learning and innovation. Your role is to inspire and educate ensuring that our students receive an exceptional learning experience.
The next semester commences on 25 August 2025.
What You Will Do
Teaching Excellence: Deliver engaging lectures tutorials and seminars that stimulate and foster student learning and understanding.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of course materials and curricula ensuring they remain relevant and innovative.
Student Support: Provide academic guidance and support to students including feedback on assessments and addressing any academic concerns.
Assessment: Develop and grade assessments ensuring they are fair consistent and aligned with learning outcomes.
Scholarly Activities: Engage in scholarly activities to stay abreast of developments in your field and contribute to the academic community.
Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks related to teaching including unit coordination record-keeping and reporting.
Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with academic policies procedures and standards to maintain the quality and integrity of programs.
Professional Development: Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive academic environment.
Community Engagement: Foster a positive academic social and cultural experience for students by engaging with the college community and participating in events.
Innovation in Teaching: Implement innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
Essential Criteria
Right to Work in Australia.
AQF 8 or higher degree in the relevant field OR equivalent industry experience.
Experience in higher education teaching.
Strong teaching skills with a reflective approach.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Current knowledge relevant to the discipline being taught.
Demonstrated high-level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact effectively with students and staff in a culturally diverse environment.
Excellent time management skills.
Commitment to undertaking or continuing scholarly activities.

An understanding of and commitment to compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
