What does the role involve
Reporting to the Corporate Services Director this is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation and play a key role in streamlining and improving core processes. Working closely with the Corporate Services Director this broad role spans finance operations procurement contract management and systems enhancement.
Were seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to drive improvements across both financial and operational functions.
Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Support core finance operations including payroll tasks accounts payable/receivable and month-end processes.
- Act as a key liaison between the People Team and external payroll provider ensuring smooth accurate and timely processing.
- Coordinate organisation-wide procurement and contract management processes ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including documentation process optimisation and support for system upgrades and automation projects.
This role is based in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model including two days in the office per week.
Who are we looking for
The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to Caritas Australias mission to end poverty and injustice by promoting human dignity for all as well as a dedication to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching that guide our global efforts. They will have a mix of the following qualifications skills and experience:
- Proven experience (35 years) supporting finance and corporate services functions including core finance tasks such as payroll data integrity compliance and procurement.
- Comfortable working with ERPs and identifying opportunities to improve processes and support change management initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail with a user-focused and collaborative approach to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Friendly open-minded and adaptable with a growth mindset and willingness to support across both finance and operational areas.
