Superintendent Rio Tinto Services Inc. Bingham Canyon UT:
Oversee the safe execution of underground activities performed by all members of the underground team. Risk assesses develop and maintain Safe Working Procedures required for operation. Assist in the establishment of infrastructure to support new and future mine development for dewatering electrical communications and secondary egress systems. Undertake regular inspections to ensure that all standards policies and procedures are complied with in the operations area. Provide support and guidance to the mine technical service team. Ensure the mine plan is executed safely and effectively according to schedule while optimising safety cost and performance. Identify recommend and implement potential improvements for the underground mining operations.
Full time employment Monday Friday 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in underground mining. In lieu of a Bachelors degree employer will accept an additional 2 years of experience in underground mining.
