About the Position:
Malamut Law is seeking an experienced Respondent Workers Compensation Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience representing employers insurance carriers and third-party administrators in workers compensation matters across New Jersey. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative respected team with a strong caseload and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of workers compensation defense cases from inception to resolution.
- Appear at workers compensation court hearings throughout New Jersey.
- Conduct depositions legal research motion practice and trial preparation.
- Provide strategic counsel to clients including risk assessment and case valuation.
- Maintain accurate case records and meet all filing deadlines.
- Communicate regularly with clients adjusters and opposing counsel.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years experience handling respondent-side workers compensation matters in NJ.
- Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
