About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Lecturer (Level A) to join our School of Social Work in Melbourne. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to curriculum development deliver high-quality teaching and support students in achieving their academic and professional goals.
The Lecturer will collaborate closely with the Head of School and colleagues to design deliver and evaluate programs that meet the highest academic standards. This position also encourages participation in research professional development and scholarly activities aligned with IHMs commitment to innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging lectures tutorials and practical sessions.
Contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student learning and success.
Engage in scholarly activities including research and publication.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the student learning experience.
About You
You are passionate about education and have the ability to inspire and support students from diverse backgrounds. You bring a strong understanding of adult learning principles and a commitment to innovation in teaching and learning.
Essential Criteria
Masters qualification in Social Work or a related discipline.
Professional membership with AASW.
13 years of teaching or academic experience in higher education (desirable).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
Knowledge of Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.
Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and educational technologies.
Valid National Police Check.
